Hello Families!
I hope you are all doing well. It feels like forever since we have seen you all. Our time together has been cut short and we are so sad about that. But we are all grateful that we are still able to communicate with you all. I can’t even imagine how big our friends must be!
As the weather is getting warmer, remember to take some time to go outside and get some fresh air. Going on a walk, sitting outside on the grass and letting your kiddos explore it is a great sensory activity. This is also allows you to incorporate language in your day as you talk about different colors that you see outside, the temperature, different flowers that may be seen, etc.
De Colores
The first activity I have for you all is a video I put together from a book that is one of my personal favorites. I am singing the book De Colores in Spanish. This book also has the lyrics in English in the pages of the book. We like to incorporate diversity in the classroom by exposing the children to different cultures and languages. I would often sing this song to the children and they all seemed to really enjoy it. I will also be adding the lyrics to the song on this document so if you’d like to learn it in English, you can! It goes with the same toon. I hope you enjoy!

In all colors
In all colors,
In all colors bloom thousands of flowers with first lights of spring.
In all colors,
In all colors birds flying back home are flapping their wings.
In all colors,
In all colors the sky holds a rainbow for all the world to see.
And loves bring all colors together now shining forever all around me.
The red rooster,
The red roster crow “cock-a-dee-doodle, dee-doodle, dee-doo”
The brown hen,
The brown hen clucks “cackle, cackle, cackle, cackle, cluck”
Yellow chicks say,
Yellow chicks say “peep, peep-a-peep, peep-a-peep, peep”
And loves bring all colors together now shining forever all around me.
And loves bring all colors together now shining forever all around me.
Choo-Choo

The last activity I have for you all is a fun activity for both you and your baby! Looking for a fun activity to do while also breaking a sweat? For this activity, the only thing you will need is either a laundry basket or an empty box (like a diaper box). You will set your child inside of the box and just push them around your home. Below is a song you can sing while you push your child in the box. This activity will surely get you some fun laughs and smiles from your kiddos!

We hope you all have a great week! Hope to hear from you all very soon.
Sincerely,
Emilly and Infant 1 Team.
