Hello Pre-3 Families,
Our days are flying by! The first two weeks were really filled with getting acclimated to our new group, new teachers, new peers and new rules. We thought the biggest challenge would be wearing masks but these Pre-3 friends are being little rock stars! The masks have remained on for just about 95% of the time indoors and they have only needed little breathers now and again. The weather has been very cooperative with being sunny and just cool enough to not hold us indoors. Just for a reminder if the temp is over 95 we will remain indoors.
Some of our activities include, growing a unicorn, learning about measuring and patience. Painting on saran wrap was a new form of painting. We also made a rainbow using skittles! The children used magna-tiles to create a ball run. Actually the magna-tiles have also been a stable, a tower and a stage! They are by far the most used of all our material! The children have been using bikes and scooters each day outside as well as taking turns on the tire swing. These children are so curious about all animals, what they eat, where they live and their size. We are grateful for the technology in the classroom to cross check facts!
The children have enjoyed the book in our library and in our teachers cabinets. The big book of Pete The Cat Stories has been a favorite and of course the Pigeon Books by Mo Willams. This unit was topped off with Pigeon Headbands!
It feels good to be back in school!
