Pre-4 June Newsletter

Hi families,

We are all so excited to be back at the center and establishing some much needed face-to-face interaction even with masks and all our new procedures in between! We appreciate all your patience and understanding during our transition back into the center. Please continue to feel free to ask questions as they may arise.

New Classroom Areas

While the children were gone, the classroom has been updated and rearranged! New materials and areas have brought new interests and ideas to our classroom. In the science area, we have gardening tools. This has sparked an interest in planting, so we brought this to life by having the children choose which seeds they wanted to plant. We also have a new plant in the classroom that the children help water.

Outdoor Play

As you may have guessed, we have been spending much of our time outside. On the cooler days, we have been taking the children on a walk after our time on the playground to allow them as much fresh air as possible. During our time outside, the children have enjoyed insect exploration, finding wildlife in the pond, and lots of fun on the playground.

Chalk Art

The children have also been showing their creative side this month. One teacher led activity we did in the classroom was chalk art. The children were supplied with black paper and different colors of chalk and made a variety of different pictures.

Letter Stamping Art

Another teacher led art activity we did in the classroom this month was letter stamping. Letter stamps, stamp pads and paper were provided for the children and they were allowed to freely choose the stamps of their choice to press onto their paper. During this activity, the children worked on letter recognition and naming.

Summer Fun

Enjoy some other pictures of the fun we’ve had so far!
