Hello Pre 2 Families!
First 6 Weeks
WOW! We have already made it through 6 weeks of the semester. The first weeks we have been busy in the classroom learning the routines, rules, expectations, schedule and our school family! The children have adapted well to the change in their routine and have taken pride in knowing the daily schedule, group times rules, and all their peers, teachers and other staff in the CDFC building. With becoming familiar with these expectations and routines it has provided the children with safe and secure attachments as well as a positive learning environment.
WAFFLE WEDNESDAY
We are so happy with the Waffle Wednesday outcome! We love the interactions and well as the family connections that are made during these special times. We hope to continue family engagement throughout the year. Please lookout for the dates in the future.
Tucker the turtle
This month we introduced Tucker the Turtle to the children. Tucker sometimes gets MAD and he may yell, hit and kick. When Tucker feels mad, he can follow these 4 steps. 1. STOP 2. Tuck inside his shell 3. Take 3 deep breaths 4. Tucker is calm and can play with his friends. The children have read the story and have retold the story with a puppet turtle. We also have referred to Tucker the turtle when a child becomes mad, and they are able to calm with Tucker.
