We’ve made it through another month! As we continue to make it through the semester, we’d like to take the time to share some of our classroom highlights.
Practicum Student Lead Teaching
We have made it to the point in the semester where our students will be taking over the classroom. They have been working hard to bring in new activities and strategies to the classroom. The students have focused on sound pronunciation, being a good friend and many other goals.
The Shapes in Spanish/Las Formas en Español
Since the children have enjoyed learning the colors and numbers in Spanish, this month we have introduced the shapes. We started off by reciting them together and then had a shape hunt in the room. Below is a short video with pronunciation that goes over the shapes if you want to continue working on these at home. If there is another language spoken at home, feel free to let us know if you want us to implement these into the classroom as well.
Kindergarten Readiness
As most of the children will be going off to kindergarten soon, we have also been bringing in more materials to work on some of those skills. Numbers, letter sounds, science explorations and others have grabbed the children’s attention. As always, if there is something you’d like us to work on feel free to let any of us know.
