Happy Earth Day! I hope everyone is doing well. We miss you so much. I have put some fun Earth Day activities together for you guys. We also have pictures from last week “Week of the Young Child 2020” thanks for everyone who participated. We enjoy receiving your pictures it really makes our day!
Earth Day Challenge
Nature Bingo
- Go outside and really look around.
- Practice your skills of observation and see if you can spot these items found all around us in nature.
- Send us a picture of your Bingo!

Recycle and Reuse your Plastic Eggs!
Egg Painting Activity
What you will need: paper, paint, plastic eggs alternatives cups and bowls
How to:
- Lay out your paper dip your plastic egg and/or cup into the paint.
- Then start stamping them onto the paper.
Benefits: Physical Development (Fine Motor): Children demonstrate the ability to coordinate their small muscles in order to move and control objects.
Perceptual-Children demonstrate the ability to distinguish, process, and respond to sensory stimuli in their environment.
Egg Transfer Activity
What you will need: plastic eggs, an alternatives plastic balls, spoons, tongs, and bowls or baskets.
Also, great Indoor/Outdoor Activity
How to:
- Place the two baskets or bowls a couple feet apart from each other on the floor.
- Then place the plastic eggs or plastic balls inside one of the baskets or bowls.
- Use the spoons or the tongs to pick up the plastic eggs or the plastic balls.
- Now have them walk across to the other side to the empty bowl or baskets to drop the plastic eggs or plastic balls inside.
Benefits: Physical Development (Fine Motor): Children demonstrate the ability to coordinate their small muscles in order to move and control objects.
Physical Development (Gross Motor): Children demonstrate strength, coordination, and controlled use of large muscles.
Plastic Egg Tower Activity
What you will need: plastic eggs other alternatives cups, boxes and bowls
How to:
- Open the plastic eggs then place the plastic eggs or cups and boxes on top of each other making a tower.
Benefits: Physical Development (Fine Motor): Children demonstrate the ability to coordinate their small muscles in order to move and control objects.
